Smoky Mountain Riding Stables is located about 4 miles east of downtown Gatlinburg on US Highway 321N. it  is owned and operated by Kenny Kear, a Gatlinburg native with an impressive string of credentials as a trainer of champion show horses.

Smoky Mountain Riding Stables is Open from early March through November. They have been in business for over 20 years and they showcase beautiful wooded scenery and mountain streams. You have to be 5 years of age or older to be able to ride the horse. No experience is necessary to ride. They have several mountain-savvy guides that are on hand to ensure that the ride through the mountains will be as safe and pleasant as possible.

It's important to consider that you're riding in an untamed wilderness, both at this stable and at its previously mentioned counterpart. The experience and local knowledge of the guides at the stables is best proven by the fact that neither stable has ever had a customer seriously enough injured that medical assistance was required to remove the rider from the park.

40 well trained and experienced mountain trail horses are available.

1 hour ride is $ 25 per person and 2 hours is $50 per person.
