Opened in 1975 in half the space it currently occupies at the back of Elk's Plaza, Best Italian Cafe and Pizzeria  is as authentic an ethnic restaurant as a native of New York City can make it. They make all kinds of Italian food.
Best Italian Cafe and Pizzeria is a Gatlinburg Tradition for 30 years, featuring their famous Garlic Rolls. The slogan "Absolutely The Best"  genuinely applies to this Italian restaurant.

From antipasto and garlic rolls that defy description as appetizers through absolutely authentic entrees with those great names that roll so trippingly off the tongue (fettuccine, Chemanicorri, parmigian to the sinful desserts you struggle to eat.. And as you go back to the real work singing softly to yourself, you won't even remember what the place looked like, but you'll remember where it is.

For dinner you can have a large variety of Salads, Appetizers, Spaghettini Pastas, Pasta, Low Carbohydrate Entrees, Side Dish, Meat, Seafood, and Poultry.

For lunch they have many delicious and tasty sandwiches, pizzas and pastas.

The Best Italian Cafe & Pizzeria is open seven days a week from 11:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M.  Sunday through Thursday, and 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Friday and Saturday. Parking is convenient in the small Elk's Plaza lot adjacent to the restaurant and the commercial parking deck across the Parkway.
